advised me that an unknown individual appeared at the ssn
Essen Lane Branch of American Bank in Baton Rouge on
3/16/83 and attempted to buy a $9,000 cashiers check.
The individual was carrying the money in’a McDonalds
pe£S pee and wanted the cashiers check made payable to
Duncan Aviation, Inc., no address indicated. The
teller who waited on this individual indicated that
he appeared nervous throughout the transaction, and
when she asked who was to be shown as the remittor,
this individual became extremely nervous. He hem and
hawed around and finely stated that he needed to make
a telephone call to determine that information. He
left the money with the teller, went to a nearby tele-
phone, and made a call. He then returned to the teller
and advised her that they were no longer interested in
obtaining the cashiers check. He then retrieved the
money and left the bank. The teller.did not see the
vehicle that this individual was driving. The teller
described the individual as a white male, 6 feet tall,
medium build, mid 40's, sandy hair, fair complexion,
and casual dress.
