The case entitled "The United States of
America vs. Davic T. Dellinger, et al'' commenced in
the court of United States District Court Judse JULIUS J.
HOFFliail, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division,
Chicago, Illinois, on September 24, 1969, and was in
session until February 14, 1970, when the jury began
deliberation upon evidence submitted during the course
of this trial.
On February 18, 1970, the jury advised the
court that they hac reachec a verdict in this case anc
; Stated they found ..BECTT HOFFILAW not guilty on count one
in the aforementioneu indictment and guilty on count five.
On February 20, 1970, United States District
Court Judge JULIUS J. HUFriiail sentenced HOFFlisii under
count five, supra, to five years in custocy of the
attorney General of ti:e United States or his cesignated
representative and fined HOFFiisii $5,000 plus court costs.
Judge HOFEHAN, in sentencing HOFFlini!, stated that HOFrili.lN's
