HOFFMAN resided at 1437 West Belmont Avenue,
Chicago, and at 1717 North Hudson Avenue, second floor,
Chicago, while here for the DNC. The landlord at 1437
West Belmont Avenve, objected to the Yippies who were
conzregating and asked them to leave. HOFIMAN then went
to 1717 North Hudson Avenue to reside.
HOFFMAN spent quite a bit of time at Natimal
Mobilization Committee headauarters, 07 South Dearborn
Street, Chicago.e In the afternoons he usually would go
to his apartment at 1717 North Hudson Avenue, for a siesta.
He advised that ED SANDERS, from New York City,
was the "money man" for the Yippies. le had a room at the
Lincoln Hotel and was observed with HOFFMAN on several
occasions, but did not make any speeches.
He said that the day HOFFMAN was arrested,
August 28, 1968, HOFFMAN left the Police Department, 11th
end State Streets, at 8:30 pm, and, to his mowledre,
cid not participate in the denonstration at Balbo and
Michigan Avenue, Chicago, that evening.
