Hoffman was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Arraign ment of Hoffman was set for 8/29/73. Hoffman is co-founder of Youth Inter- mational party (YIP), a loosely-knit anti- establishment, revolutionary youth organiz ion formed in NYC in January, 1968, offman has a long history of New Left vio ence and an extensive arrest record. Hoffman was a defendant in the “Chicago 2" onspiracy Trial and, in 1972, authored ‘Steal This Book,” a revolutionary manual omplete with instructions concerning manu facture and use of explosives.
