The Youth International Party (YIP),
also known as Yippies, is a loosely
knit, anti-establishment revolutionary
youth organization formed in New York
City in January, 1968. Following a
factional dispute in May, 1972, the YIP
divided into two factions, the Yippies,
headed by a YIP collective, and the
Zippies, headed by THOMAS KING FORCADE,
a member of the underground press
syndicate.
