There were probably about 18 to 20 members. of YIP there and most of the collective and a spokéamau, —-— ~- JEPP KNIGHTBYRD, indicated to the senior citizens that the ee SN ee SS ee Fg oe SS SS picnic was aimed at dispelling “scare" rumors and debunking of talk of crime in the streets. Also, KNIGHTBYRD had indicated that the YIP group would even go further than supporting a non-violence pact proposed by RENNIE DAVIS and the Coalition for Peace and Justice.
