Letter to New York Re; Abbott Howard Hoffman, aka 100-449923 Any information developed regarding Hoffman‘s plans in this regard should be submitted to the Bureau in form suitable for disseminstion, together with recommendations for possible countermeasures by this Bureau. Hoffman is one of the "Chicago 7" defendants, convicted of Antiriot Law violation and cited for Contempt of Court. He is presently free on appeal bond from the Chicago proceedings and is also under indictment in connection with Antiriot Law violations occurring on May 3, 1971, in Washington, D, C, Since there appears to be some substance to the possibility that Hoffman is organizing a “Hustler's Convention,” we are instructing New York to be alert for, and furnish Bureau, any information in this regard.
