Wednesday night — predicted
troop rehcllisns in Vietnam
and civil disobedience in
Washington.
He urged an audience of
about 2.30 at Oklahoma State
University to join schedulec
amivar demonstrations — in
May, staging their own demon-
strations in Stillwater if they
cannot go to Washington.
On May 5, he said, “there
will be strikes at universities
and on May 5 there very dam-
ned well he strike (sic) at Ok-
Jahoma State Universty.”
ON HIS arrival at Oklahoma
City’s Will Rogers World Air-
port, Hoffman had predicted
i the troop rebeilions.
“Rebellion by armed units in
Vietnam will begin in the next
two weeks." he teld newsmen.
He added that antiwar leaders
would be broadcasting encour-
agement over Radio Hanoi to
urge American troops in Viet-
nam to rebel. He said tape
recordings made in New York
by his group will be broadcast
to the troops.
Hoffman's appearance was
without incident, although it
had been delayed a year by a
speaker policy that banned
him from a scheduled talk on
campus fast year. A feder-
al suit to overrule the policy
was dismissed {his spring be-
cause regents adopted a new
polley which did not prohibit
his appearance.
Hoffman is free on $25,000
bond pending appeal of his
conviction in connection with
the riots at the Democratic
national convention in 1968.

He described Leslie Bacon,
the 19-year-old girl arrested
Wednesday as a material wit-
ness to the March 1 bombing
of the nation’s Capitol, as ‘“‘one
of the key organizers of the
Mav Day demonstrations.”
“ISN'T IT convenient,” he
added. ‘that four days before
the demonstration, they atrest
one of the key organizers?”
He said two FBI agents fol-
lowed him to Oklahoma.
“They tried to revoke my

in Beifast (Ireland},’’ he said.
“But they couldn’t. You
know how our permissive
court system is.”
When he opened his talk, he
held out a ring and told the au-

can plane which had been shot
down.”
