UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION Boston, Massachusetts October 27, 1969 47¢c0 ollow ormation: Leonard I, Weinglass, self-identified as one’ of tne attorneys who represent Abbott Howard Hoffman and seven other persone charged with conapiring to incite riots during the Democratic National Convention at Chicago, Illinois, in 1968, spoke to an audience of approximately 125 persons at Atwood Hall, Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts, from about Noon until 1:30 P.M., on Sunday, October 26, 1969. Practically all of those persons in attendance were students and they were requested to donate $1.00 seach. Abbott Howard Hoffman also spoke briefly and talked oe in a humorous and semi-serious manner on subjects ranging from Pascism to American Indians, SEE. «-: .: that no incidents of violence took place. Hoffman appeared at the Minuteman Statue. Concord, Massachusetts, at 4:30 P.M., on October 26, 1969, for a press - conference, He appeared with a group of approximately ten - followers, including a person introduced as his attorney. He _ attempted to speak at times in « light vein but gained no response, ; He referred to his present trial in Chicago and the Antiriot Law as against « people's state of mind and stated that people are being charged with their thoughts.
