aT I NY 100-161445 At the time of HOFFMAN's arrest, his wife, ANITA HOFFMAN, was also arrested and charged with interfering with f an arrest. She stated that she was born on March 16, 1942, ; at Baltimore, Maryland. The charge against ANITA HOFFMAN / was subsequently dismissed. ; a! A A representative of the MPD, Intelligence Division, advised that as of 11 pm, Octsber 3, 1968, ABBOTT HOFFMAN was incarcerated in the District of Columbia jail, Washington, D. C. A representative of the Capitol Hill Police advised on October 4, 1968, at approximately noon that dete, ABBOTT HOFFMAN was released from police custody to enable him to attend the afterncon hearings of the HCUA, HOFFMAN was in attendance at the hearing for the afternoon session but did not testify. 1D ae HOFFMAN checked out of the Congressional Hotel, Washington, D. C., at approx- imately four pm on October 4, 1968. G. Press Conference in Times Square, New York City, Octobe 8 68 made available a leaflet, ren e >» which indicated thet at noon on October 28, 1968, an individual named “HANOI ROSE" would appear in the vicinity of the Army Recruiting Booth in Times Square, New York City, and recipients of the leaflet were requested to welcome her. As of the FBI, at 12:00 noon, on Octobey 2?, 1968, obsefved approximately 15 individuals, ine}ying ABBIE HOFMAN, ANITA HOFFMAN, BRADFORD ‘ROX, PAULPKRASSINS, and KEITHSLAMPE, all affiliated with the YIP, assentie in front of thg United States Armed Forces Recruiting Station in Times vn U3rd Street, and Broadway, New York City. - : {
