The November 23, 1963 edition of the "New York
Daily News," a New York City newspeper, contained an
article on page 2, captioned "watch Pro-Cuba HQ Here in
JFK Killing," which stated as follows:
"at 5:45 P.M. yesterday 12 cops began a stakeout
at the headquarters of the New York Chapter of the Fair
Play for Cuba Committee. Lee Harvey Oswald, a suspect in
President Kennedy's assassination, was linked to an FPFC
unit. The local headquarters is at 799 Broadway, at Ilth

"At 7 P.M., other police placed a watch on the
home of V.T, Lee, reported leacer of the New York FPFC
unit, at 374 St. Marks Place, off Second Ave. -
"Reports Lee Is Away
"A woman who identified herself as Lee's wife
paid he was out of town. A cleaning woman told THE NEWS
she had seen Lee leave the apartment building with a valise
a few hours earlier.
