4ndicated that this revolution was not treated fairly
by the United States press. }
The "New York Herald Tribune", a daily New York
City newspaper, on Janvery 11, 1961, carried an article
captioned "Probe Told About Payment for Ad Supporting CASTRO".
This article reflects that Dr. CHARLES A. SANTOS BUCH, New
York City, testified before the United States Senate Hearing
’ Committee on January 10, 1961 and told that committee that
the ad sponsored by the FPCC in the "New York Times" on
April 6, 1960, was partially paid for vy the Cuban
Government. BUCH testified thet the money in the amount
of $3500.00 was given ROBERT TABER, Executive Secretary
of the FPCC by RAUIUROA, JR., Cuban United Nations UN)
official, and TASER ¥sed the money to pay for the ad.
It will be noted thatthe: PCC’ from its inception
4n correspondence and statements by officers has shown
an interest in.establishing FPCC chapters in colleges and
universities in the United States. .
