He is to make a keynote address at the Annual Convention of the NAACP on Tuesday, 9/28/56. He is leaving New York on Thursday, 9/20/56. He thinks that he could do some good if in the course of his remarks he could again make the point that the comm are seeking to capitalize through infiltrating Negro organizations and that they are attempting to make points out of discriminatory matters and he thought that if there were some general items as to what the communists are doing, their stepped up organization and their line, that this could be used to good advantage. He stated that no one would know where he got the information and he wondered if I could be of any help to him. I told hin that I did not mow; that I would look around and would call him next week. I think that it might be to our advantage to give him a little guidance if we can on the basis of public source and well documented material.
