THURGOOD ‘MARSHALL
INFORMATION CONCERNING
This is to record that on the afternoon of 2/9/
me Supervisor; of the Civil Rights Unit went to the Pa!
Soon estaurant Tor lunch. Upon entering the restaurant he was
observed by Mr. A. ENCaldvell, Chief of theCivil Rights
Dept Section, Criminal DivisTon, who celled for QB to join
a Pred, him which he did. After they had been eating for some time
' wvsCie Caldwell observed Mr. Thurgood Marshall of the National
Association for the Advancement of Colored People who had
entered the restaurant. Caldwell, being acquainted with
Marshall, invited him to the table and Marshall accepted tt
invitation. Marshall partook of a cup of coffee while
and eli finished their meals. Caldyell
oduced as being with the FBI and in charge of
the Civil Rights Unit.

Washington on the 4th and 5th of March by the National
Asseciation for the Advancement of Colored People.
