PROGRESSIVE CITIZENS OF AMERICA
The Guide to Subversive Organizations and
Publications, dated May 14, 1951, prepared and released
by the Committee on Un-American Activities, United States
House of Representatives, Washington, D.C. contains the
following concerming the Progressive Citizens of America:
"1, Cited as a 'new and broader Comminist front
for the entire United States' formed in September
1946 at the direction of ‘Communist steering
committees' from the 'Communist-dominated National
Citizens Political Action Committee' and the
Independent Citizens Committee of the Arts,
Sciences, and Professions.
