There were both Negro and white pickets present. At about 1:50 PM, two white male pickets were observed picketing on the sidewalk in front of Ray’s Modern Barber Shop, Shortly thereafter, rbers, who was subsequently identified as came out of the shop with a hose that was attached to a water supply within the shop. He proceeded to pour water on the sidewalk in front of the shop and remarked to some of the spectators nearby that he needed to clean up the sidewalk and referred to the pickets by use of such words as “slop,” “trash,” and "garbage".
