NOTE: The Department has filed a civil suit at Bogalusa, Louisiana, seeking to enjoin the Klan to prevent interference with persons seeking to exercise their rights under the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Hearings have been completed, and the matter is presently pending a decision to be made by the court after both sides have filed briefs. inspector Sb: suggested further injunction proceedings would be e and has recommended it be discussed with the Department and that offices covering Klan and hate organizations be briefed on the use of the injunction to counteract their interference in civil rights programs.
