(2) Several conflicting stories have developed regarding cause of riot and attempts are being made to pin this down. (3) No evidence of subversive, racial, radical or criminal elements involved. (4) As of afternoon, 6/20/65, rioting had ceased and rioters had either been arrested or dispersed; however, the 44th Annual Laconia Motorcycle Rally which has been associated with the rioters was to continue and the possibility of another breakout exists, (5) Local authorities were aware of the 44th Annual Laconia Motacycle Rally which was to be held on 6/19/65 and would resuit in large numbers of motorcycle enthusiasts being in the area. This, coupled with past experience in riot problems in the area, caused local authorities to be alert for possible trouble and local authorities and National Guard were on stand-by.
