THE COVENANT,
THE SWORD,
THE ARM OF THE LORD (CSA)
The following information regarding the group known as
The Covenant, The Sword, The Arm of the Lord (CSA), has been
developed through information obtained from numerous newspaper
articles in community and law enforcement sources:
The CSA is a group of approximately 90 to 120 men, women,
and children, with the majority being of teen to mid-20s in age.
The CSA was founded in 1970 and settled on a farm in Elijah, Missouri.
In 1976, the founder, Jim Ellison, a 41 year old, stocky, 5'10",
white male, bought a secluded 220 acre farm from the Campus
Crusade For Christ. The farm is now the group's settlement known
as Zarephath-Horeb, and is located on the Arkansas-Missouri border
approximately seven miles southwest of Pontiac, Missouri, bordered
by Bull Shoals Lake and private property owners in Missouri.
