nrormed on the afternoon of September 17, 1964, that no eos
additional information has been received specifically .
indicating any possible violence involving racial aspects “
in connection with the appearance of the Beatles, a quartet —~
singing group on tour from England, at Municipal Stadium
the right of September 17, 1964. QQ ssid that afew
appaxently baseless and unverifiable rumors had come to =
his attention suggesting that one or two Muslims or
ex-Muslims, unidentified, had been overheard to say "some
trouble might occur" at the stadium in connection with the
appearance of the Beatles. QD said that his inquiry
had indicated that these rumors were disconnected, were ae
untrue and no credence should be given to them. He said, —
however, that police security measures at the stadiun, —_
including assignment of 350 police officers, cover any
potential for, or actual violence.
