curious surely, than the selling
of a manual of head~hunting and
“guerrilla warfare” by a group
that is theoretically ‘devoted {fo
parliamentary government and
the processes of democracy!
Or is the Libert} Lobby, per-
haps, planning to do its future °
lobbying by means recommend-
ed in the Revefends. Roquemore
textbook on terror that it is sell-
ing? If sc, the Congressional.
committees whose job it is te
concern themselves with lobby-
ing legislation might become
somewhat curious, in turn, about
this rather odd “lobby” of the |
“respectable right,” and its
strange notion of how democracy
works.
It is true that the spokesmen
of the ultra right have spoken
of the uses of violence before.
But not quite like this...
William Buckley, Jr, in his
“Up From Liberalism,” specul-
ates on what point it becomes
advisable to consider whether it |
“is worth the price of using
force,” and Senator Goldwater,
in his statement “On Foreign
Policy” that appeared in the “Na-
tional Review" is hardly averse

to the use of “guerrilla warfare;’’

or other types of war.
The testimony of General Ed-
win Walker was simlliarly based ‘
upon an attack on what he called
the “no win” (that is, peace)

“win” (that is, war) policy.
