This review was made on July 30, 1976. No symbol numbers for New York were located in this file which fall within the scope of your inquiry, or which have not been previously furnished to you. . (%) The standard filing procedure for memoranda dealing with highly sensitive confidential sources calls for filing in the “JUNE" section of the main case file. As mentioned above, the “JUNE” section of "Security Informant Program" was reviewed on April 30, 1976. To insure that our search . for memoranda dealing with “highly confidential source” symbo: numbers was thorough, on August 2 and 3, 1976, an in-depth review was made of the "Security Informant Program” main case file for all other offices. This review failed to disclose memoranda showing assignment of symbol nimbers to “highly confidential sources," however, one s 1 number was located which falls within the scope of your ry. yg .
