Lepartmental representatives personally reviewed the material maintained in our New York Cifice 5 3 relative to this matter, Following this review, with approval! of the ad z Cepartment, representatives of the Bureau's Inspection Division . ; proceeded to New York for & similar review. As requested by the Cepartment, ao pertinent interviews were conducted in connection _— With the Inspection Division's inquiry. _ x7 eR NT ee As the Department is aware, there is maintained in the a York Cifice a four-crawer file cabinet physically located in the Per- sonnel Files Unit. The top drawer contains twenty-seven volumes covering surreptitious entries by New York from 1954 to the last recorded entry, April 16, 1973. SAC Folder 25 contained aine memo- randa disclosing nine surreptitious entries, seven in 1972 and two in 1973.
