Q7 Postal card postmarked "Chicago, Illinois, PM 15 June
1972" addressed to Mr. George McGovern with message
beginning “Our entire Family...."
Q8 Postal card postmarked "Chicago, Illinois, PM 15 June
1972" addressed to Senator McGovern with message be--
ginning "Dear Mr. McGovern...."
Q9 Postal card postmarked "Chicago, Illinois, PM 23 June
1972" addressed to "Mr. George McGovern" with message
beginning "want to tell...."
Result of Examination:
A search of the Anonymous Letter File disclosed
Qi through Q6 previously submitted by the Washington Field
Office of the FBI with a communication dated May 14, 1970,
under the title "Unsub, aka R. Rathbone, Threatening Post-
cards (6) postmarked April 7, 1970, at Chicago, Illinois,
received by the U. S. Supreme Court - Victim; Extortion."
through Q9 and the address portions of Q7 and Q9 also
prepared the questioned writing on Q2 through Q4 and Q6
previously received in this matter.
Specimens Q7 through Q9 were prepared on United
States Post Office six-cent postal cards. No indented
writing of significance or other identifying characteris-
tics were noted on these items.
Specimens Q7 through Q9 are being returned sepa-
rately. Photographs are retained.
By communication dated July 18, 1972, the Federal
Bureau of Investigation Identification Division, Latent
Finger print Section, advised that two latent fingerprints
of value developed on samples Q7 and two latent fingerprints
of value developed on sample Q8. No latent prints of value
developed on sample Q9.
