TOLSON MR, BELMONT MR, NEASE The Attoracy General called on several matters and while talking to him I mentioned that I had been keeping him advised regerding tie threats against the lives of the Chici Justice nad Justice Felix Frankfurter. {stated we had men taking care of this end it had been working fine watil mow when someone on the police force in 2 mewspapers. I stated we have bad a wen with each of the Justices since last Friday when we got word of these threats, and now Chief Justice Zarl Warren ls going to California next week and whether cur Agent will go with bim will be largety up to his discretion, but he did mot want the local police potified. I cossmented that this rather leaves it to the FBI as to what action we thought should be taken, aad of course if someone should try to kill the Chief Justice and we did not do anything then it would reflect adversely upor the FBL . .
