From the above it appears that whatever number of suits will actually be filed, they will not be filled all at once, but on the contrary, as letters of disagreement will emanate from the Veterans Administration at a rate of only 1,000 to 1,200 per month, the filing of the suits will be spread out over a long period. Mr. Beardslee advised me by telephone that he had sent a letter to Mr. Stanley informing him of the necessity for more attorneys in the field to handle the large number of suite he expects to be filed throughout the country, of the necessity for more funds for traveling, the taking of depositions and other costs incidental to litigation, and that he feels that at least twenty-five more investigators should be assigned to this type of work. If the information which was obtained from the Veterans Administration is accurate, it does not appear that the Division has any cause for changing the existing-method of procedure in this type of cases at the present time or in the immediate future.
