LA 9-2498 aoe on 11/4/60,L______]fusnished the Los Angeles Office with another letter whioh was received at Mr. ALLEN's office today. The envelope which bears the postmark of November 3, 1960 at Los Angeles indicates that after five days 1t should be returned to "DAVID A, RANDOLPH, 3612 East 54th Street, Maywood, California." This envelope | conteined a typewritten letter on yellow paper which reads "STEVE ALLEN: If a person sould possibly desoribe the fantastic arrogance that you -----." It was signed "DAVID A, RANDOLPH The originals and two Photosteats of the afore- mentioned envelopes and letters are being enclosed herewith. It is requested the Laboratory attempt to determine if the typewritten letters were prepared on the same typewriter as other specimens previously sent to the Bureau. The sub- mitted items should be examined for any identifying water marks, These items should also be examined for latent finger- prints, bearing in mind they were previously handled by the personnel of Mr. ALLEN's office. Any latent prints developed on submitted items should be compared with latent prints previously developed in effort to determine if any common { prints are developed. -2-
