The envelope addressed to STEVE ALLEN which
was postmarked October 28, 1960, at Los Angeles, Cali-
fornia, and the letter contained therein, which come
mences, "STEVE ALLEN: Could there be...." and ending,
",...e.an honest person" was submitted to the FBI Labora-
tory on November 7, 1960. This letter was unsigned
except as indicated above. The FBI Laboratory, by
report dated November 21, 1960, advised the above en-
velépd and letter» for identification purposes, are
known as Bpecimens Q12 and Q13 respectively,
The envelope addressed to STEVE ALLEN which
was postmarked October 31, 1960, and the letter con-
tained therein, which commences, "Dear Mr. ALLEN:
Just recently I...." and ending ",...Los Angeles 35,
California," was also submitted to the FBI Laboratory
November 7, 1960. This is the BETTY STANLEY letter.
The FBI Laboratory, by report dated November 21, 1960.
advised this envelope and letter,:i£0er identification
purposes, are known as Specimens Q14 and Q15 respectively.
The envelope addressed to'Mr. STEVE ALLEN...."
which was postmarked November 3, 1960, at Los Angeles,
and the three-page typed letter contained therein, the
first page of which commences, “STEVE ALLEN: If a
person could...." and ending, "....to find just where
is"; the second page of which begins with "the most
treacherous...." and ends with "....and this country
would be"; and the third page of which commences with
“ended up to a ...." and signed "DAVID A. RANDOLPH"
were submitted to the FBI Laboratory on November 7,
1960. The FBI Laboratory, by report dated November
21, 1960, advised Specimens Ql2 and Q13 were searched
through the appropriate sections of the AnernyReus
Letter File, without affecting an identification,
It was concluded the typewriting on Specimens
Ql4 through Q19 was prepared on the typewriter used to
