The source furnished the Gates and method of LEVISON's travel plans. This information was furnished the Bureau by letter and LHM dated 2/28/69, captioned "STANLEY DAVID LEVISON, RM, _ Tre ww . ee 2/25/69 On 2/25/69, STANLEY LEVISON arranged with JOE FILNER to have the Frida Foundation match s $75,000 gift from the Fi@ld Foundation to the SCLC. This was neceséary, according to LEVISON, because the Field Foundation would not approve a metching grant from the SCLC. LEVISON said the SCLC would reimburse the Frida if it contributed this money. FILNER told LEVISON he could proceed on his own on such matters. . YOUNG said he has been considering @ boycott of 1970 cars by 811 blacks and believes they should be able to get the peace groups to join this action. ‘YOUNG maintained that such a boycott would unite blacks and the white peace groups. He plenned to announce this boycott in June, 1969.
