It is evident that Levison prepares a considerable amount of the written and spoken statements made by King. Some examples of the influence Se ened influence Levison has on King's activities are Bet forth below: In recent ‘months this source has established that Stanley Levison has been in frequent contact with King relative to the activities of King and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. In April, 1966, the source advised that King wanted Levison to write two speeches for him when he received the Sidney Hillman Award and the Margaret Sanger Award, Again, in April, 1966, \ Levison was advised that King — ee Fee we King had scheduled a meeting of key personnel of his organization and wanted Levison to attend. In May, 1966, Levison and King discussed an article being prepared for King which was an analysis of the Alabama elections. Prior to King's appearance , on the television program "Face the Nation” on May 29, 1966, King was in contact with Levison for his opinion as to what King should say on the progran.
