On October 4, 1965, a confidential source, vho

Jones met with Stanley Levison,

Levison advised Jones that he had lunch with
one Ted Lamar and was sorry that Jones was unable to make
the luncheon, Levison remarked that Lamar, a Harvard
graduate, is employed by Mc Gra@w-Rill as an editor and
“sounds like he kas the experience to do the job." Jones
eaid that he received a message from "him" and he advised
that he will be in at 5 a.n., “but will not call Jones until

Levison asked Jones to call him after he, Jones,
makes his contact. Levison then remarked that Lansr,
by working for Mc Graw-Hill as an editor can go beyond
this book and may be “useful in continuidg stuff of this
