Loe pote__2/37/72 | : | | Mr. WILLIAM JOSEPH BAUMGARTNER, 63 Yassar Avenue, West View, Pa., was interviewed in the vicinity of his residence and prior to the interview he was advised of the nature of the investigation and of the identities of the interviewing Agents, He was thereafter advised of his rights both orally and by use of the form entitled, “interrogation; Advice of Rights," which he read, stated that he understood, and subsequently executed. He voluntarily furnished the following information: Me had attended the play “Mair,” the Saturday before last Saturday, which was February 6, 1971, and he had not particularly liked the play as he felt that it was somewhat obnoxious. He had attended the play with his wife at the Nixon Theater in downtown Pittsburgh, Pa., and paid approximately $5.00 for the performance. He stated that he did not write a threatening letter to the Manager of the Nixon Theater and had no knowledge of thgone that: was responsible for the writing ef this letter. He stated that he had no objection to furnishing samples of his handwriting to the interviewing Agents on a voluntary basis after he was advised of the use of Phe use of the handwriting samples and that he had a constitutional right to refuse to furnish same. At this point, six pages of BAUMGARTNER's handwriting were obtained. BAUMGARTNER then consented to furnish his finger- prints tothe interviewing Agents after he was advised of the intended use of the fingerprints and his constitutional right to refuse to furnish same.
