I then advised Inspector Bassett of the results of the conference. On the evening of June 8, 1973, I reviewed the four volumes of the Manual of Instructions and selected two or three items from each manual, the disclosure of which could be harmful to FBI operations. I described ~ the items in general terms so as to indicate their scope, but not their ; specific contents. Attached is a statement listing the items. At 7:54 p.m., June 8, 1973, I telephonically read the attached statement to Mr. Felt.
