On 79, the Phoenix FBI Office was
contacted by News Director, KOY AM Radio,
840 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, telephone number
258-8181, concerning a news release issued by Interworld
Congress, which may have contained a threat to the life
of Senator Ted Kennedy, who was to visit Phoenix that afternoon.
Investigation at KOY determined that a young woman,
name unknown, had dropped off the press release at approximately
12:00 noon on November 29, 1979, and had immediately left
the building. She had delivered two of the releases, one
for the News Department of KOY and the other for the host
Of a talk show that ran every evening on weekdays at KOY.
The person dropping the press release was further described
as being short, in her early thirties, attractive, with
dark brown hair, approximately 5'5" in height, slender build,
wearing a black sweater over a dark colored blouse and a
skirt. The woman may have worn glasses. A copy of the
press release was obtained.
A _co of the press release was immediately furnished
to U. S. Secret Service, Phoenix, at the
front entrance of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Phoenix, where
Senator Ted Kennedy was due to arrive that afternoon. b6
