Lynn, Massachusetts, Police Department, provided the bIC
following information:
On November 17, 1965, at 2:10 p.m., the
Eynn, Massachusetts, Police Department received an
anonymous telephone call from a male voice stating
"Kennedy will. not reach city hall tonight" ; and this ~
person hung up.
Senator Kennedy is making several appearances
in the Lynn, Massachusetts, area on November 17, 1965, and
is due to make an appearance at Lynn, Massachusetts , City
Hall at 7:30 p.m. on November 17, 1965.
: He stated that department has advised the office.
of Senator Kennedy of the receipt of this threat; they
intend to give this matter no publicity; and they will
increase .the number ¢ plain~clothes men assigned to
this detail.
