KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE
Miss EVERETT stated she did not understand “their
hate" although she considered them leyal Americans, .She
said she has asked them to move due to their attitude but
had just now decided to report the matter, She further
related that the LESTERs did not indicate they personally
would take any action against Senator EDWARD KENNEDY or
Mr.- ROBERT KENNEDY.
The files of the Knoxville Office of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation reflect one JAMES BROWNLOW LESTER,
wife CLARA HARTSELL LESTER, was investigated ,as an applicant
for the Atomic Energy Commission in 1947. Mr. LESTER's
application submitted at that time reflected he was born
December 26, 1889 at Corryton, Tennessee, and was employed
as a painter. -This applicant type investigation was
favorable except according to files of the Security Office
at the Atomic Energy Commission, his employment was terminated
at Stone and Webster Company, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, July 18,
1945 as "discharged for participation in work stoppage in an
emergency equivalent to striking". .The files of the Knoxville
Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation contain no
information identifiable with CLARA H.. LESTER.
