Since 1947 he has been in touch with the Bureau on numerous occasions making repeated efforts to arrange for an interview with the Director on one pretext or another with the objective of writing an article or biography of the Director. As an author and biographer, Kornitzer has been in contact with many leading political personalities in the U.S. and has authored several books including one on the Eisenhower brothers in 1955 and another on former Vice President Nixon in 1960. Kornitzer, while disclaiming to be a "name-dropper,'’ frequently uses this technique.
