On June 7, 1946, a Government investigative agency advised that this individual was the contact man for a Russian espionage ring. zation Th i This report elso included information to the effect that he had played bridge and exchanged language lessons with persons in the Soviet Embassy. On June 7, 1946, the same investigative agency reported that a known Soviet espionage agent was arrested with his wife in Finland in the 3930's and that while in custody this espionage agent's wife has requested the American Consul to forward on her beh2if a request for funds from thie individual. This individual had been in charge of the training of Soviet marines at ome time at a Russian port.
