Charges made by Senator McCarthy, after listéning to the answers, the radio commentators,
and considering the Pr<sident's views, I cannot help but believe, with all my heart, that
Senator !icCarthy is right. I also believe that it is Unamerican to keep the file of the
FBI closed at this time. There can be no more half-way business now. Either we are _
Americans fighting for the American way of life, which is freedom all the way, or we
are not Americans, fighting for power in a setretive, underhanded, subversive way designed
