& statement on the Floor that I was to appear there on Monday aftérnoon and that
“information bad been out that I would be there to express my views es to the release
of the files. LIeteted that Itold McCarthy thet that was correct but that [ didn't
know it had been announced; that I understood it was a confidential matter at the
present time. The Attorney General was then informed that McCarthy asked me

as to where be had been getting his information about the #0-called top espionage
agent. I commented that McCarthy steted he could not disclose where he got.
