Du Bois, described as a historian and sociologist. It was also stated. ' that Shirley Graham. Du Bois had been invited to be present and to receive the citation honoring her late husband. The letter requested that reconsideration be given to the appli~ cation for a visa of Mrs. Du Bois to the end that she would be able to receive the citation at the First Annual Meeting of BA AL.
