Blacks should prescnt a
united front and practice
restraint in dealing with
problems, the executive
director of the NAACP
said Monday in Minneapo-
lis. .
“There is nothing sadder
than watching a black
community that con sti
tutes about i percent o
the population throwing
ts weticht around like
they are the controlling
community,” director Roy
Wilkins said at the 16th
annual Opportunities In-
dustrialization Centers
(OIC) Convocation.
Wilkins urged the bdlack
community to put togeth-
er a coalition to help them
in their causes.
