On 2/10/70 a mecting of the National Associatio for the Advancement of Colored Feople (NAACP) in Augusta was held at which WILKINS was the principal speaker. There were no incidents. /j1/70 a march and rally were held in Augusta, Ga., led by WILBERG/ALLEN, a self-proclaimed organizer of the Augusta Black Panter Party, without incident. Both h gatherings were well attended and received local news attention. Speeches made at both gatherings called for the identities of the Augusta police officers responsible for the deaths of six individuals during the rioting on 5/11-12/70 in Augusta, Ga. PERSONAL EVALUATION . ‘as | = - Sources report that following: both of the above gatherings, as well as during regular contacts. tensions appear to be @asing in Augusta, Ga. I do not expect at this time that the Savm hah Division will have any major racial incidents. , No indications have been received to date indicating that the integration of public schools in _September, particularly in the rural areas, will be Barred with aby violence.
