Washington, D.C., to protest @ congressional investigation of Diatrict public echools, Roy Wilkins, Erecutive Secretary of the NAACP, was the principal speaker at the meeting. Wilkina satd the invest- tgation was an attempt by the House Sub-committee to snear the Negro and he accused the committee of preferring lies to truth. According to the article, Roy Wilkins, National Erecutive Secretary, had stated in Tyler, Tezaa, that Vice President Nizon did not hold honorary membership in the NAACP and the NAACP had no honorary members.
