Jones to Mr. Bishop Memo RE: "ROWAN AND MARTIN'S LAUGH-IN" CURRENT DEVE LOPMENTS: of Seabrook, Texas, has written a letter t * the Mational Broadcasting Company (NBC) protesting the treatment afforded the Bureau in ''Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In"' on 3-8-71. vr. who is not identifiable in Bufiles, sent a copy of his letter to the Director with a short personal] note handwritten thereon. The Director has noted, "Try & get a copy of Laugh-in program for Mar. 8. H." We have afipe of the portion of the program which reflects the aforementioned skit regarding the -BI.. The tape which is of marginal quality reflects the unintelligibility of the lyrics of the so-called "fight song"’ performed by the cheerleaders wearing “EBI" sweaters. In addition, the various sight- gags and captions that appeared on the screen are, of course, not reflected on the tape.
