Lozg, Subcommittee on Acministrative Practice and Procedure," dated January 25, 1965, instructions were set forth for the Special Investigative Division to determine from our files (1) i2 the Director was present at a meeting in 1951 in the Treasury Department, (2) was ’ former Attorney General Kennedy present at this meeting, and (3) was a ‘nemorandcum Clearly indicating that Internal Revenue Service made use of electrezic devices handed to former Attorney Generak-Rennedy or was the *tmemorandum herded to everyone present at the meeting. If the latter was. _. true, then a copy of this Internal Revecue Service memorandum could be. mace available to the current Attorney General. By nem randum dated February 17, 1961, the Director recorded the fact that he had attended a meeting with the Attorney General, Williex G. Hundley of the Organized Crime and Racketeering Section of the Departrent, and Secretary of the Treasury C. Douglas Dillon at the 4 Treasury Department. This meeting took place on February 16, 1961. Also _ presext were the UnderSecretary of the Treasury, the Commissioner of the .° * Internal Revenue Service and the General Counsel of the Treasury Departnent. - at, - - The Director recorded the fact that the Cormissioner of the Internal, Revenue Service handed to the Attorney General and to the Director a copy of the instructions which the Commissioner of Internal Reverue had issued on February 15, 1961, to the Internal Revenue Service.
