: My memorandum to you of 1- 19- 66, reflected that Kraslow appeared on a’
“acal radio show on 1~28-66,. to discuss wire tapping. Ee was critical of the FSI for
ts use of wire taps, stating we had "bugged" gamblers in Kansas City, Miamiand —
Las Veras. He also said many peonle in the Department of Justice consider the use of
wire ieps as a violation of the Fourth Amendment.
as.
This memorandum noted that Kraslow had previously attacked the FBI
on its use of wire taps. (The 12-19-65 issue of the ''Los Angeles Times" contained at
lengthy article by Kras!ow on our use of wire taps, which was unfavorable.) The 4!
Director wrote, with regard to Kraslow, > "we should treat him like the plague. Hei
_ Sennedy stooge. Hq." O
Mrasiow « orks for Ed Guthman, Rebert i <ennedy' s Director of the Otfigs
of Public raformation with the Devartment, who is now national editor of the Los Angeles
Times." In view of this, it appears obvious that Kexnedy is pulling the wires through
Guthman and Kraslow to embarrass the Bureau in the current controversy over wire
