Re my airtel, 5/11/64, advising that Attorney General

ROBERT KENNEDY- and party arrived at Farmville, Va., about 9:40 A.M.,
t| 5711/64, and were met at the Farmville Airport in accordance with

The Norfolk Office by separate communication is trans-
mitting an article titled "Bobby Makes A Visit" by GEORGE M,*KELLEY,
Richmond, Va., correspondent, which appeared in the 5/17/64 edition
6f the Virginian-Pilot; & Norfolk, Va., newspaper. In the article
KELLEY, referring to the Attorney General's visit to Farmville,
alleged that an FBI Agent on duty at the airstrip readied himself
by getting into the car the Attorney General would ride in, pulling
his gun from the holster, putting a bullet in the chamber and
sticking the gun "in the waist" of his trousers, KELLEY's article
reflects further that an FBI Agent was first to greet the Attorney
General and after introducing himself gave a signal that obviously:
was an indication that everything was under control. KELLEY con-
tffued that the FBI man was never more than a few feet from the /

- Upon being apprised of the contents of the article by
GEORGE M, KELLEY, I immediately contacted the Richmond Agents who
mat the Attorney General and they have advised that the claims of
KELLEY are ludicrous, For example, the Agents pointed out that
