We received this moming from the Department a letter in German -
dated March 26, 1962, from Willy/Brandt (Mayor of. Berlin) to the Attorney
General. The Department requested an expeditious translation. —

Please accept my sincerest thanks for the book.
“To Turn the Tide" of President Kennedy intended for me
as a present.
This edition will always remind me of your visit
in Berlin which was of immeasurable significance in the
present situation and had found among the population of our
city an extremely strong and hearty echo.
