been partly for the purpose of getting favorable publicity for ROBESON in
the event he would be called as a witness in the trial of the Communist
leaders, The informant also advised that it had been the intended purpose
to utilize the Peekskill incidents so as to etress the acts of police —
brutality and acts of discrimination against Negroes and other minority ~
